Our Story
We started because we got burned by unfair deposit deductions too.
In 2020, our founder David moved out of a Bishan HDB after 3 years. He hired a random cleaner from Carousell, thought the place was spotless — and still lost $800 from his deposit for "insufficient cleaning." Sound familiar?
How it grew from there
After that experience, David spent a few weekends talking to landlords, agents, and other tenants. The pattern was clear: most deposit disputes weren't about bad tenants — they were about mismatched expectations and cleaning that fell just short of what agents expected.
So he built the checklist he wished he had. Then connected with NEA-licensed cleaners who understood Singapore handover standards. Then added handyman services for the patching and touch-ups. One thing led to another.
By end of 2020, EasyMoveOut had helped 200 households. By 2023, that number crossed 5,000 — across HDB flats in Tampines, condos in River Valley, landed houses in Bukit Timah, and everything in between.
